HOW BULKBILLING WORKS AT OUR PRACTICE

We’re committed to making healthcare accessible, which is why most doctor appointments at our practice are bulk billed. 

In Order to be Bulk Billed, you simply have to 

• Have a Valid Medicare Card
• A Medicare rebate must be applicable to the service we provide 

To maximise your access to subsidised medications and other referred services, please provide us with a copy of your current Pensioner or Health Care Card (if you have got one). 

Some services are not covered and will have a private fee. This includes: 

• Services for patients who are not eligible for Medicare
• Some Specialty consultations
• Procedures and treatments such as skin cancer excisions, contraceptive procedures, iron infusions or Q Fever vaccinations
• Non-Medicare services such as cosmetic procedures, commercial drivers certificates, employment medicals or insurance reports
• Patients with work-related injuries or insurance claim consultations unless there is a guarantee of payment from the insurer, or we have a valid approved Work Cover claim number, or alternate arrangements to work with. 
• Special arrangements, which include paying a Gap-Fee only, apply to patients with Allianz or BUPA Insurance.

We accept EFTPOS, Visa, MasterCard and HICAPS when payment is required. This can be processed via our Payments System in HOTDOCS, or at reception. A small surcharge for EFTPOS transactions applies.

Fees

For Private billing patients, as stated above, common fees include:

• Standard Consultation   $95.00
• Long Consultation: $135.00
• Medicinal Cannabis Initial Assessment: $150.00
• Medicinal Cannabis Follow Up: $95.00
• Insurance or Medico-legal Paperwork Reporting: $300.00 (depending on the length of time required for completion)

Procedural appointments will incur additional fees, depending on the type of procedure required: (including but not limited to)

• Biopsy & Short Procedure: $50.00
• Skin Cancer Excisions, Implanon Insertion & Removal, IUD Insertion & Removal, Iron Infusions & Venesections: $100.00
• Skin Excisions requiring Flap Repair: $150.00
• Skin Excisions requiring Skin Grafting: $200.00

 We are committed to providing the highest level of care and maximising community access to healthcare. If you would like to clarify if your required service is bulk billed, please ask reception.

Missed Appointment and Cancellation Policy

Failure to give notice or arriving 5 or more minutes late for an appointment will now incur a fee with no Medicare rebate payable.

Please give the minimum notice stated below to avoid a cancellation fee of $40.

• Doctors Appointments - 2 Hours

Allied Health - 24 Hours (Failure to give notice for psychologist appointments will incur the full appointment fee of $200.) 

This fee is payable prior to booking any further appointments effective 29/08/2023.
